Breaking: Work Being Done at East Village 7-Eleven

It looks like we spoke too soon! A neighbor on 11th Street sends in new photos of work being done today at the 7-Eleven at 170 Avenue A. It appears the shanty town-chic plywood facade has been partially removed in some areas and they are pouring a new sidewalk on the 11th Street side.

7-Eleven on the BoweryNow that’s a window display! Is this an example of the attractive new stores 7-Eleven spokesperson Margaret Chabris has been carrying on about in the press? Let’s have a look, shall we? Two empty cups, two lonely bananas and two shrink-wrapped bagels baking in the hot afternoon sun. Mmm! And only $2!  But first you’ll have to step over the garbage on the floor to get to this bargain breakfast!

Good work 7-Eleven!
